Macapa has a limited number of Correios branches:

Correios Centro (Rua Sao Jose, near the Fortaleza de Sao Jose), the main branch in central Macapa. Your most reliable option. The 17th-century fortress is a useful landmark.

Macapa sits exactly on the equator. The Marco Zero monument marks the line. The city is only accessible by air (from Belem or Brasilia) or by boat. There are no road connections to the rest of Brazil.

Very few foreigners apply for CPFs here. Prepare every document meticulously. The staff will be helpful but may take extra time to process unfamiliar passport formats.
