Best places to get a CPF in Aracaju

Aracaju has Correios branches that process CPF applications:

Correios Atalaia (near the Orla de Atalaia beachfront), the most convenient for foreigners. The Orla is Aracaju's showcase: a 6km-long beachfront development with bike lanes, restaurants, and entertainment.

Correios Centro (Rua Laranjeiras), the downtown branch near the Mercado Municipal Thales Ferraz. Busier but central.

Aracaju is the smallest state capital you will visit that still has full urban infrastructure. Everything is close. You are unlikely to wait more than 30 minutes at any Correios branch.

13 de Julho is a quieter, upscale alternative along the Sergipe river. Popular with local professionals.

Aracaju is small enough that you can live anywhere and be within 15 minutes of anything. The city is flat, making cycling a real option.

Aracaju-specific tips

The seafood in Sergipe is exceptional and incredibly cheap. Caranguejo (crab) is the specialty. The crab shacks along the Passarela do Caranguejo (Crab Alley) on the Orla are a must. Everything runs on Pix.

Day trips to the Canion de Xingo (one of Brazil's most dramatic canyons, 3 hours away) and the historic town of Sao Cristovao (Brazil's fourth-oldest city) are popular. Local tour operators all accept Pix.

Aracaju is genuinely one of the best-value cities in Brazil for quality of life. If you are looking for affordable, safe, beachfront living with good infrastructure, it is worth considering as a longer-term base.
