Brazilian airlines show different prices depending on whether you book through their local site (with CPF) or their international site. The local price in reais is almost always cheaper, sometimes by 40% or more.

Azul, Gol, and LATAM all allow you to create an account with your CPF and book through their Brazilian portal. You can pay with a Brazilian debit card or Pix, avoiding foreign transaction fees entirely.

How to book as a foreigner

Go to the airline's .com.br site (not .com). Create an account using your CPF. Enter your passport as your travel document.

Azul: azul.com.br. Known for the best domestic network and good service. Their TudoAzul miles program is valuable.

Gol: voegol.com.br. Often the cheapest option for short domestic routes. Smiles miles program.

LATAM: latamairlines.com/br. Largest international network from Brazil. LATAM Pass miles program.

For payment, Pix is the cheapest option as it often qualifies for an additional discount (usually 5-10% off).

Earning and using miles
